What do I do if I have a puncture?

If you have a puncture, pull over when it’s safe to do so and replace the punctured tyre with your spare tyre. Once you’ve done that bring the tyre into Treads Vehicle Services Limited where we can fix it for you professionally and safely and we will even balance your wheels for you free of charge.

First, we have to check the tyre to ensure that it isn’t too damaged to be repaired. All the puncture repairs that we do at our workshop in Frome, are done following strict government guidelines which means that damage to the side of a tyre cannot usually be repaired, whereas most damage to the tread area of the tyre can be repaired. We will be happy to carry out puncture repairs providing that there is no damage to the sidewall, the tyre is not perished, and has a tread depth of at least 1.6mm, which is the legal limit.
